Start with the learner’s city and reading level
Canadian families can enquire about private online Quran classes for children and adults. Send the city, province or territory, current local time, course goal and preferred lesson windows. One country label is not enough to arrange a recurring timetable.
Make the timetable specific
Canada spans several time zones, and local clock arrangements can differ. Do not convert from another Canadian city or reuse a timetable from an old trip. The safest enquiry identifies where the learner will attend the lessons and uses that location’s own clock.
| City | Sample local window | Additional detail |
|---|---|---|
| Toronto | Monday or Wednesday, 5:00–6:00 pm | School finish time and a backup window. |
| Calgary | Tuesday or Thursday, 6:00–7:00 pm | Learner’s level and tutor preference. |
| Vancouver | Saturday, 9:00–10:00 am | Whether the same window can be kept each week. |
| Halifax | Friday, 6:00–7:00 pm | Actual local time and availability on other days. |
These are sample requests, not simultaneous appointments or available slots. Use the National Research Council’s official-time resources when checking time information. Tell admissions if travel, a move or a local clock change affects the arrangement.
Match the course to independent reading
For a new reader, ask about letters, short vowels and joining through Qaida. For a learner who reads connected words but loses the line or guesses familiar wording, guided reading may help. A confident reader with repeated recitation issues can discuss Tajweed. A Hifz learner should bring information about existing memorization and the time available for revision.
English and Urdu explanations can support understanding; the teacher still needs to hear the learner’s Arabic. Adults can begin from their present level rather than being placed in a child’s group. Children need a parent-managed lesson setup and suitable practice targets.

The amounts above are US dollars. They are not Canadian-dollar prices and are not a live exchange-rate quotation. Confirm the total payment and any provider conversion fees. Course placement, available tutor, session length and policy terms should be recorded before enrollment.
What the first assessment should establish
Explain what the learner can read without help. The tutor may check letter forms, an unfamiliar reading passage or a memorized portion, depending on the request. Record the recommended starting point and ask what a first practice task would look like. A familiar recitation alone does not establish every skill.
